Since the 1970s, Jairo Pinilla has been cranking out handcrafted Horror and Adventure films in a country without a robust film industry, inspiring future generations to do the same. Presented here for the first time in America are what we feel are two of his best films: 1977's Funeral Siniestro, a atmospheric slow burn about a young girl left at her family's hacienda to face her cruel stepmother (and fears of the supernatural) alone. Then we have 1985's Triángulo De Oro, a pulpy adventure film in the vein of Indiana Jones, featuring Carnivorous plants, Ancient Radioactive Statues and Kung fu bar brawls.
For this release we've given Funeral Siniestro a 2K Restoration from the only surviving film elements available, a 35MM Theatrical Exhibition Print, courtesy of Fundación Patrimonio Fílmico Colombiano. Triángulo De Oro has been transferred from a 1" tape master from Mr. Pinilla's private collection.
Our special limited edition embossed and UV spot gloss slipcover is limited to 1,000 units and features beautiful new artwork by Juan José Saldarriaga. Limit of 2 per customer.
Due to our contractual agreement this item can only be shipped within the United States.
